What does CompScience need for a workers comp submission?
The ACORD 130 form and loss runs are the most important documents of a submissions. Video is not required.
Does CompScience offer all of the normal services that go along with a workers’ comp policy?
Yes. CompScience is backed by A rated insurance carriers and reinsurers, such as Nationwide and SwissRe. With these partners, CompScience offers a full range of services, including safety analytics, loss control, claims handling, return to work, fraud investigation, and many others.
Does CompScience sell cameras? What if a customer doesn’t have cameras?
We do not sell cameras, but we have camera system installation partners as needed. If a customer does not have cameras, we can also use a mobile phone app as a way to collect loss control data. CompScience is compatible with nearly all typical security camera systems, and our team will work with you to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
How does CompScience protect privacy?
CompScience never collects personally identifiable information (PII), and we designed our tools to prevent them being used for disciplinary actions. Our system was inspired by the experiences of our family members and friends and we are generally welcomed as long as all stakeholders are included in the process early. We don’t use facial recognition or single out workers.
What access does CompScience get to my client video systems and how does CompScience protect the video data that is used for analysis?
Typically, the client uploads its video footage to CompScience. The client retains control of their own video system, with no access from CompScience. There are times we can gain remote access if the client doesn’t have the resources to upload data. When this happens, IT makes grants CompScience a temporary login and we leave the client a receipt of all data taken. They can then shut down our access. We also never take data without confirming with the client beforehand..The analysis of the video footage is released only to the client and the client’s representatives. CompScience has strict security protocols to protect client information.
How does CompScience work with my client loss control team?
We can work with your clients directly, either with the broker’s participation or not. CompScience experts can also train your client team to use the platform and deliver risk reports. In those cases, we can recommend loss control services from your agency.
How quickly can clients see results from implementing CompScience?
We can deliver a CompScore benchmarking report in 2-3 days. Broader results can be observed as soon as video is uploaded, with immediate improvements in hazard awareness and safety management.
How much work does it take for a customer to implement CompScience?
One of the advantages of CompScience video analytics is that customers don’t need to set aside time for a site walkthru. Overall, the IT team spends about 30 minutes setting up the video data transfer for each report, and we take care of the rest with our cloud-based platform. From there, the client safety managers are trained to use our tools: they use them to be more efficiency in their regular floor observation work, safety training, and safety committee preparation.
Is there a minimum premium for CompScience policies?
We offer policies starting at $75K and up.
What does CompScience cost and what services do customers receive?
CompScience programs are free for our insurance customers. Each program is a $20,000 value. Each program includes at minimum 2 risk reports, software training, unlimited user logins, and access to our library of resources.
In which states does CompScience offer its products and services?
CompScience is able to write insurance in all states and also offers its stand-alone platform in all states.
Can I offer CompScience’s solution to customers who don’t buy CompScience workers comp policies?
Yes. CompScience offers its annual Risk Redcution Program and Risk Assessments also for larger customers who do not buy a workers compensation policy from CompScience.
